Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade met President of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Kanayo Nwanze on June 22.
The two praised current level of agricultural cooperation between the country and the organization. They noted IFAD had “successfully” implemented two projects in Azerbaijan backed by the local government in promotion reforms in agricultural and agrarian spheres. “Another two projects are underway in the country as well,” they said.
The IFAD chief said his organization planed to realize one more project aimed at contributing to eliminating poverty and ensuring food security. “This new project will be implemented in Azerbaijan for the first time in the region.”
Azerbaijani minister of agriculture Ismat Abbasov was also present at the meeting.
