The agenda of the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) includes discussions the functioning of democratic institutions in Azerbaijan, the website of the Council of Europe reported.
Bureau and political groups of the CE, which will consider the organization's budget for 2011, will attend the first day of the session. Also during the session it's scheduled to elect judges of the European Court from Germany and Malta. The session will also discuss "Human rights violations in the North Caucasus," "The situation in Kosovo and the role of the Council of Europe," "The situation of Romanians in Europe".
The UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, Jorge Sampaio, Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic, Macedonian President Georgi Ivanov are expected to address within the session. Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation headed by PACE vice-president Samad Seyidov.
