Azerbaijan and Gambia signed a protocol on cooperation, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

The protocol was signed by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Gambian Foreign Minister, International Cooperation and Gambians abroad Ousman Jammeh.

During the meeting Azerbaijani FM stressed that there is a good potential for cooperation in economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in education and tourism between the countries.

Mammadyarov thanked the Gambian counterpart for support of Azerbaijan's just position in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the voting in international organizations, especially the UN and the Organization of Islamic Conference.

Jammeh in his turn said that Gambia will continue to support Azerbaijan's position in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
