Azerbaijan will not give up its efforts to achieve international recognition of the Khojaly genocide, Azerbaijani First Vice Parliamentary Speaker Ziyafat Asgarov told media.

"It's a great pity that the world community does not react to the genocide committed in late 20th century by Armenians before the world's eyes", he said.

Asgarov added that if the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is not resolved peacefully, a war is inevitable.

"Azerbaijani Army ready for a war," he noted.

A total of 25 children lost both parents and 130 children lost one of them. About 1,275 people were taken prisoner and around 150 people went missing.
