President Ilham Aliyev met with Speaker of the Hellenic
Parliament Dimitris Sioufas, according to our special correspondent.
They
expressed satisfaction at the progress made in bilateral relations
between Azerbaijan and Greece. The parliamentary cooperation was also
discussed and both the Azerbaijani President and Greek Speaker said it
contributes to overall development of the bilateral relations.
Dimitris Sioufas presented President Ilham Aliyev with the gold medal of the Hellenic Parliament.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis in Athens, according to AzerTac.
During the meeting the sides voiced satisfaction with expansion of ties between the two countries, stressed importance of cooperation in economic sphere, especialy in energy. They stressed important of the state visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Greece in the sense of mutual ties.
Notably, the Azerbaijani-Greek business forum will promote creation of work ties in definite spheres and it was stressed that the documents signed between the countries created a legal basis for cooperation in economic sphere and so on.
The meeting participants voiced confidence about the further expansion of mutual ties.

According to AzerTac, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the grave of the Unknown soldier in Athens. A honor guard was lined at the square where the grave is.
The head of the state put flowers to the grave and state anthems of Greece and Azerbaijan were sounded under accompaniment of a military orchestra.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited here the National Archaeological Museum. The Head of State and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed by executives of the Museum.
The Azerbaijani leader was informed that exhibits reflecting the oldest periods of Greece are demonstrated in the Museum.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse viewed the exhibits in the Museum`s separate sections.
The Head of State was given a present at the Museum.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse posed for photographs with the staff of the Museum.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a number of meetings at his residence in Hotel Grande Bretagne, according to AzerTac.
In particular, Ilham Aliyev met with George Papandreou, Leader of Pan-Hellenic Socialist Movement, major opposition political party, in Greek Parliament.
They exchanged views on the current status of Azerbaijan-Greece relations and prospects for bilateral cooperation.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also met with chairman of the Board of Directors of Vardinoyannis Group and President of Motor Oil Hellas Vardis Vardinoyannis.
The talks focused on the issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Greece in energy field.
