The Center of Cooperation of Opposition has defined over 500 observers, who will follow the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, said head of the central office of the Musavat party Arif Hajili.

He said the parties, represented in the Center, do not take part in the presidential elections, therefore, they intend to conduct observation.

"Currently, over 500 observers have been registered in the Central Electoral Commission. The main tasks, to be fulfilled by observers on the election day, will be defined at the forum, planned to be held on October 11", noted he.

As for the possible sanctions to be applied against the activists, who will take part in the presidential elections, Hajili said: "We call on the voters not to take part in the presidential elections, therefore, if someone takes part, it means that he is against the position of the party. Depending on the circumstances, we will discuss such a decision of the party activists".

It should be reminded that the Center of Cooperation of Opposition includes the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Liberal Party of Azerbaijan, Musavat party, Civil Development Party and Public forum "For Azerbaijan".
