"GUAM countries had no intention to impede any constructive measures and the negotiating process for the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict," said Foreign Ministry Press and Information Policy Department chief Tahir Tagizadeh.

Commenting on the latest statement by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs which calls on the parties to avoid any action anywhere, including UN General Assembly, Tagizadeh said GUAM countries face the similar dangers and calls.

"These countries appealed to the UN General Assembly aiming to address these dangers in a constructive way. As to Azerbaijan, it considers the OSCE Minsk Group as basic format for the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. However, the United Nations should not be called a new format for the discussions. The UN Security Council has approved resolutions on Nagorno Karabakh conflict for 15 years," he told the APA.
