As many as 2,431 people have applied for participation in the early parliamentary elections to be held Feb. 9 in Azerbaijan, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said, Trend reports.

Panahov made the remark at the CEC meeting in Baku on Jan. 23.

The chairman noted that 1,477 people have been registered as MP candidates.
