Delegation headed by the chairman of the Chamber of Representatives in the Parliament of Belgium Kingdom Herman De Kroon being on a visit to Azerbaijan, today met with representatives of opposition parties represented in the parliament.

H.D.Kroon making a speech in the meeting stated that 52% of mandates in Belgium are under the control of opposition parties.

He stated that, most of the permanent commissions of the parliament are headed by the deputies of opposition. Deputy Jalil Hasanli making a speech in the meeting stated that, in contrast with Belgium, in Azerbaijan deputy group less than 25 in number are not able to form a fraction.

He stated that, if the transparency in parliamentary elections to be held in autumn is provided, the opposition may win the elections.

Deputy Sabir Rustamkhanli stated that, the rules adopted in the country according to world experience are not obeyed, and authority share is not held properly. Deputy stated that, parliamentary elections to be held in majority form have the purpose of decreasing the opportunities of opposition. S.Rustamkhanli stated that the opposition wants to attend the elections in proportional form.

Deputy Gudrat Hasanuliyev stated serious shortcomings are present in the election code of the country, and attending elections with the code of this kind is impossible. Deputy stated that, currently political powers of opposition direction presented their suggestions to the parliament within the election code to be made changes.
