Over the cooperation lasting from 1992 to 2004 the World Bank allocated to Azerbaijan $622m worth of credits, according to official website of the WB.

Azerbaijan received only $412 of the total sum. Till 1997 $200m had been allocated for Azerbaijan, while Azerbaijan received only $73m, in 1998 the WB allocated $90m, bit presented only $58m, in 1999 - $80m ($63m), in 2000 - $42m ($24m), in 2001 - $50m ($28m), 2002 - $69m ($55m).

Staring from 2003 the amount of funds allocated started exceeding the amount of the presented. Thus, in 2003 the WB allocated $66m ($69m), in 2004 - $25m ($42m).

The most part of funds was directed at the projects implemented in the sphere of law and state government (21% of $119m), the agriculture economy (16% or $94m), water supply, sewerage and protection from floods (15% or $89m), financial sector (13% or $80m), energy and production of natural wealth (12% or $72m), industry and trade (10% or $60m), transport (6% or $39m), health and social services (4% or $26m), education (3% or $20m).
