"Some meetings of Amnesty Commission have already been held. Commission members meet regularly and discuss the appeals".
This was told APA in his report by Azay Quliyev-member of the commission, president of National Non-Governmental Organizations Forum. A.Quliyev expressing his attitudes to the demands of Council of Europe about the solution of political prisoner problem, establishment of Public TV and changes to be made to Election Code stated that some steps had been realized in this direction: "Council of Europe is the only international organization stating Armenia as an invader country occupying Karabakh and adopted a resolution within this.
This document will be driven to discussion again in winter session of 2006. We shouldn't strain the relations with Council of Europe. I consider that, the matters of Public TV should be established and changes to Election Code to be done will be looked into soon. Concerning the matter of political prisoners, state president regularly signs amnesties within that". A.Quliyev stated that, in the next amnesty special attention will be paid to that.
