The support to the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh by the member of the European Parliament Eleni Theocharous, who encourages bloody separatism and ethnic cleansing, is an indicator of double standards, the Member of the Political Council of the New Azerbaijan Party, the chief editor of the Iki Sahil newspaper Vugar Rahimzade told Trend.

He believes that this testifies to the injustice shown by some international organizations in Europe.

The editor-in-chief noted that the presence of such a parliamentarian in the European Parliament is shameful. “I think this is an example of the injustice and double standards of the European Parliament in relation to some countries. Definitely, this is one of the factors that shows the personality of these MPs, their true nature”, Rahimzade added.

This step of Theocharous, he continued, aims to confuse the international community.

"In many cases, these are the people who work together with anti-Azerbaijan circles. These people, along with their personal views, carry out someone else's orders. In general, the issue of presence of these people in the European Parliament should be considered. If the European Parliament speaks of justice, democracy, the supremacy of the law, it should think about this issue," Rahimzade said.
