President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met a delegation led by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Cemil Cicek.
Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Cemil Cicek conveyed greetings on behalf of President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
He stressed the importance of the decision to establish the Foundation of Turkish Culture and Heritage, which was initiated by Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with successful development of the friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey on all fronts, and said the cooperation in energy, transport, joint projects and other fields were at high level. The sides noted the significance of the high-level meetings among the heads of state on the sidelines of the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States. The parties underlined the importance of mutual support of the countries in all international organizations.
During the conversation, the sides stressed the importance of the interparliamentary ties in the expansion of the cooperation between the countries, and expressed confidence that the next meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries to be held in Baku would be fruitful.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and asked the Speaker to communicate his greetings to the Turkish President and Prime Minister.

Chairman of Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Kabybulla Jakupov conveyed greetings on behalf of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Kabybulla Jakupov stressed the importance of interparliamentary relations in the expansion of the cooperation between the countries. He noted the significance of the establishment of the Center after national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev in the Eurasian University of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the sides noted that the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan had been developing successfully. The parties noted the importance of mutual support of the countries in international organizations. The sides praised the relations between the countries in the economic, transport, cooperation in the Caspian Sea, agricultural, humanitarian and other fields. The parties especially noted the role of high-level meetings between the heads of state in the strengthening of the bilateral bonds.
During the conversation, the sides said the Baku meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries would be fruitful in terms of strengthening the cooperation.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and asked the chairman to communicate his greetings to the President of Kazakhstan.

Chairman of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Asilbek Jeenbekov conveyed greetings on behalf of President Almazbek Atambayev. He stressed the importance of the next meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries. Asilbek Jeenbekov noted with pleasure that the work was continuing to lay a park in memory of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the sides noted that the political relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were at a high level. The parties said the countries were successfully cooperating in the UN, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States and other international organizations, and noted there were ample opportunities for expanding bilateral ties in economic, humanitarian and other fields.
During the conversation, the sides underlined the importance of the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Bodrum, expressing confidence that the next meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries in Baku would contribute to strengthening the relations even further.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President Almazbek Atambayev, and asked the chairman to convey his greetings to the President of Kyrgyzstan.
