Azerbaijan and Turkey discussed cooperation in the field of emergency management.

Azerbaijani Minister for Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov received a delegation headed by Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala on May 26, the ministry told Trend.

The guest learned about the work carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of emergency prevention and elimination of its consequences, as well as the activity of the ministry's bodies.

"The cooperation in disaster management between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Turkish relevant state agencies is at a high level," Heydarov said. "There are prospects for development in this direction."

Ala stressed the need for further development of cooperation in the field of emergency prevention and elimination of its consequences between the ministries of the two countries. They also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

After the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the activity of the crisis and multimedia centers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
