As many countries as possible must be involved in regional projects, thus providing stability in the Caspian-Black Sea and Mediterranean regions, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said.

He made the remarks on May 6 after the trilateral summit of Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish presidents at the Georgian president's Avlabari residence in Tbilisi.

"We intend to expand the involvement of all new countries in regional projects, as their involvement will ensure the stability in the Caspian-Black Sea and Mediterranean regions," Margvelashvili said.

Georgia's president thanked his Azerbaijani and Turkish counterparts for cooperation, adding that Azerbaijan and Turkey "have always been the partners of Georgia".

He went on to say that Georgia has jointly implemented major projects with Azerbaijan and Turkey and these projects increase the significance of economic development and welfare of the three countries' peoples, as well as millions of people living in other countries.

"We are expanding our cooperation onto the European and Asian countries, so that more countries could use the benefits resulting from our close cooperation," Margvelashvili added.

He thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Abdullah Gul for cooperation and expressed hope that this cooperation will be further strengthened.
