Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will make a working visit to Azerbaijan on April 4, Turkish Ihlas agency reported today citing diplomatic sources.
Azerbaijan and Turkey are strategic partners. Baku and Ankara are implementing the region's major energy and transport projects such as the TANAP gas pipeline and establishment of a railway connection via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars route.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey stood at about $2 billion in late 2013.
