President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received credentials of newly-appointed Ambassador of Benin Aniset Gabriel Kochofa.
The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the diplomat.
Aniset Gabriel Kochofa conveyed greetings of President of the Republic of Benin Yayi Boni to the Head of State.
The diplomat said Benin was interested in developing the mutual bonds with Azerbaijan in different fields, particularly in energy, science and education.
The Ambassador noted he would spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening Azerbaijan-Benin relations.
President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of developing the bilateral relations. He said there were good opportunities for expansion of ties.
The Head of State asked Aniset Gabriel Kochofa to extend his greetings to the Benin President.

The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the diplomat.
Mohamed Faizal Razee conveyed greetings of President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa to the Head of State.
They stressed the importance of developing the bilateral and multilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Sri-Lanka. They underlined the significance of determining directions of cooperation through exploring the current opportunities.
The Head of State asked Mohamed Faizal Razee to extend his greetings to the Sri Lankan President.
