Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II gave an interview to AzerTAc correspondent on the occasion of the New Year.
“The New Year is the year of new wishes and intentions. I sincerely congratulate His Excellency, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. I want to note that Georgia-Azerbaijan relations have always been based on friendship, peace, sincerity. I am sure that it will continue this way,” Ilia said.
He went on to say that, “International successes gained by the country under leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev make us pleased and I am hopeful that these achievements will be increased.”
