Indonesia`s House of Representatives has expressed its full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan as House Speaker Marzuki Alie met Azerbaijani Ambassador Tamerlan Garayev.
Alie said Indonesia was seeking a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“We support a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem based on the UN Security Council’s four resolutions in the framework of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group.”
He said Indonesia`s stance on the Karabakh dispute would remain unchanged.
Alie added the House of Representatives would not authorize the opening of Indonesia`s diplomatic representation in Armenia until the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was solved.
Ambassador Garayev thanked the House Speaker for Indonesia`s backing Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.

He said Indonesia`s principled position on the Nagorno-Karabakh problem was an example to other countries.
