The U.S. wants Azerbaijan to maintain its independence, sovereignty and ability to adopt decisions independently, chose the directions of development without pressure and influence from any state, the U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar said on Dec.18 answering the question about the possible impact of events in Ukraine on the region's countries.
The mass protects in Ukraine began on Noc.21 after it became known that the authorities have made a decision not to sign the Association Agreement with the EU.
