Georgian Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection Khatuna Gogaladze has sent a letter to her Azerbaijani counterpart to thank head of the International Dialogue for Environmental Action (IDEA), Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva for her contributions to reintroduction of gazelles to their historical habitat areas in the Caucasus.
Georgia`s Ministry for Ecology and Natural Resources Protection praised the reintroduction of 10 gazelles from Azerbaijan to Georgia and thanked for the cooperation.
“The project of reintroduction of gazelles to their historical habitat areas in the Caucasus,” implemented on Leyla Aliyeva`s initiative aims to protect gazelles and reintroduce them to areas where they have lived historically, but have become extinct due to human activity.
