Azerbaijani and Serbian officials on Friday signed several bilateral documents as part of the visit of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and his accompanying delegation to Azerbaijan.

The documents were signed following the extended meeting of Serbian and Azerbaijani delegations led by the President Tomislav Nikolic of Serbia and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.

Declaration on friendly relations and strategic partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Serbia was signed by the President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Tomislav Nikolic of Serbia.
Agreement on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine between the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the government of the Republic of Serbia was signed by the Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic.

Agreement on cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies between the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the government of the Republic of Serbia was signed by the Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic.

Azerbaijan and Serbia have today discussed prospects for developing the bilateral relations as chairman of the Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov met visiting Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.
The Serbian President viewed the Heydar Aliyev Memory Hall. He was informed about the role of the national leader in establishing the Azerbaijan-Serbia relations.

Ogtay Asadov spoke about the friendly relations between the two countries, and noted the significance of reciprocal visits.
He stressed that the signed agreements established a strong legal framework for development of relations in different fields. Asadov also expressed confidence that a newly founded economic committee would play an important role in economic cooperation.
Speaker Asadov also informed the Serbian President of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Tomislav Nikoli? stressed the role of the parliaments in developing the relations between the two countries.
