The New Azerbaijan Party said the country has an interactive environment and any appeals for dialogue from the outside are inappropriate.
"Is the word 'dialogue' used for French, English society?" Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party, MP Mubariz Gurbanli told trend today. "It is not used because there is an interactive environment. The calls for a dialogue are made for Somalia, Eritrea, Congo, and other such countries. The civil strife is so intensified there that the weapons are widely used. Azerbaijan is a free, democratic and stable country politically, economically, and socially. By hearing the outside call for a dialogue in such a country, I do not accept this."
As for the relations between the Azerbaijani political parties, Gurbanli stressed that these relations are quite high.
"The parties represented in the parliament, come together to discuss the issues," he said. "We always come together with parties that are outside the parliament and talk about the opposition issues. What is a dialogue? A dialogue occurs when two parties can sit together and talk. We always talk so I stress that there is interactive environment. The ruling party is generally willing to cooperate with any force within this environment."
He said that he was very sorry that the individuals in the leadership of the opposition parties deliberately exploit the word "dialogue."
"It is beneficial for them if the U.S, Great Britain, France, somewhere abroad, stress that Azerbaijan has no interactive environment and this to be used as a pressure on Azerbaijan," he added.
