President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev yesterday accepted credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Bulgaria Maya Khristova.
The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor. President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with Maya Khristova.
She conveyed greetings of Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to the Head of State.
Khristova said she was honored to start her diplomatic activity in Azerbaijan. On behalf of the Bulgarian President, the ambassador invited President Ilham Aliyev to visit Bulgaria.
The Head of State said bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria were developing successfully.
The Azerbaijani leader noted the two countries enjoy big potential to expand bilateral cooperation even more.
They underlined there were good opportunities to develop bilateral ties in the fields of energy and infrastructure.
President Aliyev asked Maya Khristova to deliver his greetings to Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Turkey Ismail Alper Coskun. The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the diplomat.
Ismail Alper Coskun conveyed greetings of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Head of State.
He expressed satisfaction with his appointment as an ambassador to Azerbaijan at a time when bilateral relations between the two countries had entered the path of great development.
The Turkish ambassador said during his tenure he would spare no efforts to contribute to boosting relationship between the two countries even more.
President Ilham Aliyev said the second meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held successfully. The Azerbaijani leader praised the results of the meeting.
The Head of State expressed confidence bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey would continue to expand in the years to come.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan and Turkey enjoy closest relationship on the world scale.
The President said bilateral cooperation between the two countries was developing dynamically in all fields.
The Head of State noted Azerbaijan-Turkey cooperation was very important both in and behind the region. President Aliyev asked Coskun to pass on his greetings to Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Sept. 24 received a delegation led by the Governor of the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation Sergey Bozhenov. The Head of State congratulated Sergey Bozhenov on his appointment as a Governor of Volgograd Region of Russia and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The President expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, the role of individual subjects of the RF, including the Volgograd region, in the development of relations between the two countries.
The Head of State expressed confidence that the visit of the Governor of Volgograd region Sergey Bozhenov to Azerbaijan will give an impetus to bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Volgograd region.
Recalling the time when he was a mayor of Astrakhan, Sergey Bozhenov, for his part, thanked President Ilham Aliyev for contribution to the development of this city. Qualifying the construction of schools, a park, a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and a bridge in Astrakhan as a concrete example of close ties between Azerbaijan and Russia, the guest said that for many years they will strengthen cooperation and friendship.
Sergei Bozhenov said that the residents of Volgograd still remember the visit of Heydar Aliyev to Volgograd. He stressed that they also remember twice Hero of the Soviet Union General Hazi Aslanov and Hero of the Soviet Union Khidir Mustafayev who have displayed heroism fighting in Volgograd (then Stalingrad) and other fronts against fascism.
