Lessons on “Azerbaijani model in social development” have been conducted in some high schools of California, US.
The project initiated by the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency- AzerTAc informed American schoolchildren on Azerbaijan`s experience on the topics, such as history, economy, statehood and citizenship.
AzerTAC`s special correspondent to US Shafag Mehraliyeva updated pupils on Azerbaijan as an important hub on the historic Silk Road and formation of rich cultural and tolerance heritage as a result of it, the first democratic parliamentary republic in the Muslim East, the country`s role in the economy of the USSR and political, economic and social reforms implemented after Soviet Union`s demise.
Shafag Mehraliyeva underlined exceptional service of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Azerbaijan`s statehood and role of his forward-looking oil strategy in the country.
California schoolchildren also informed on Azerbaijani youth active role in the country`s socio-political life and main directions of youth strategy.
