The exhibition titled Old Baku has opened at ISR Plaza business center. The exhibit was organized by the Museum of History of Icheri Sheher State Historical and Archeological Reserve.
Head of the museum Nazim Bagirov addressing the opening said that Icheri Sheher was included into the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List in 2000. The museum often organizes different events, such as travelling exhibits, to acquaint Baku residents with the history and culture of the Azerbaijani capital.
The exposition features ancient dressing, jewelry and coins which were discovered during the archeological dig in Icheri Sheher. Also the displays include photographs of Russian and European painters` works depicting Icheri Sheher views in different periods.
The visitors watched the video about the history of Baku. The exhibition will last for two days.
