Famous Azerbaijani artist Asmar Narimanbeyova has opened an exhibition titled "Baku, on the Silk Road" at Corrado Bortone art gallery in Paris.

The exhibition has been set up with the support of the Azerbaijan Culture and Tourism Ministry.

Baku, on the Silk Road presents the works of Narimanbeyova in the cubism visual art style and the paintings' originality has attracted many visitors so far.

The exhibition participant Daniel Loran said, "I closely acquainted with the work of another artist in France, a land of many talents. Paintings in cubism art stile may be understand as abstract, however, the artist expressed her thoughts, what worries her in every of these works. On the other hand, the choice of colors of the each theme by Asmar Narimanbekova is astonishing.

"Another interesting fact for me is Asmer's family root's connection to France. The artist's grandmother from his father's side was French," he said.

"Her was also a world-renowned artist," he added.

Asmar Narimanbekova's works have been showcased in museums and art galleries not only in Azerbaijan, but also in America, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Finland, and China. These exhibitions brought her great success.

The exhibition was attended by French public, as well as representatives of Azerbaijani Embassy in Paris, famous European artists, representatives of the Diaspora, and media outlets' reporters.

Asmer Narimanbeyovam - who is associate professor of Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts, and member of the presidium of the Azerbaijan Union of Artists - is daughter of the famous painter Togrul Narimanbeyov and a talented sculptor artist Elmira Guseynova, who was the winner of a State Prize of the USSR and Azerbaijan, and the People's Artist of USSR.
