An annual International Jazz Festival will be held in Baku on October 23-November 2.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Culture Fund of Azerbaijan, the festival will bring together prominent jazz performers from around the world.

According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as part of the festival, the Heydar Aliyev Palace, International Mugham and Jazz Centers are due to host concerts by famous jazz musicians including Joshua Redman, Kenny Garret, Avishai Kohen, Marcus Miller, Bob James, David Sanborn, and Christoph Cech.

The festival will also feature solo performances of young Azerbaijani jazz musicians.

The Baku International Jazz Festival is an annual jazz event and aims to showcase Azerbaijan's long-running attachment to the American-born art form, a connection first established in the country during the 1950s and 1960s, a time when jazz was outlawed by Soviet authorities.
