Secretary of Azerbaijan Association of New York Minavvar Vahabova said: “Our hearts beat with Azerbaijan even though we live far away from our homeland. Baku`s hosting Eurovision international song contest, which was first held on May 24, 1956, fills us with pride. Baku Crystal Hall amazed the entire world from the first day of the contest. All the guests visiting Baku are talking about the attention, hospitality and respect towards them. The performances with Azerbaijan`s national musical instruments, particularly tambourine stone (Gaval Dash) made the contest more attractive and impressive. I'm sure that the Azerbaijanis living in the US are happy that Baku is hosting the Eurovision-2012.”
