Confidence Capital Company will hold in Baku the first international conference on "Industrial Safety in FEC (Fuel-Energy Complex): Oil spills at sea and on land - problems and solutions", the company said.
The official support will be provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.
The conference will review the newest technology to prevent emissions and oil spills, the comprehensive measures for elimination of oil spills and reducing production emissions. The effectiveness of existing methods of spill prevention will also be evaluated. The conference will introduce the systems and the risk management procedures, action in terms of spills and other incidents.
The conference will work in six sessions with a major focus on public policy in the Caspian countries in the sphere of industrial security; improving the environmental safety of oil and gas transportation projects in the Caspian Sea and adjacent areas, the main risks associated with the production and drilling on the Caspian Sea shelf, increase in transportation of oil and oil products across the Caspian Sea.
