“The European Union will start talks on the agreement on the gas transportation with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in Warsaw in September,” Gazeta Wyborcza reported quoting the government of Poland.
Poland, which is chairing the European Union, intends to accelerate the work basing on the agreement on purchase and transportation of gas that will meet the needs of the Eastern and Central European countries. After the internal legal procedures inside the union are fully regulated, Warsaw plans to start the official talks with Baku and Ashgabat in September.
The newspaper writes if initial agreement is reached on purchase and transportation of gas from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, it will be possible to say that the Nabucco project will be realized.
