Today, the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm (Sweden) held a meeting with the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev.
Abdullayev spoke about the history of Azerbaijani oil industry, major oil and gas projects of regional importance implemented in our country since the 90s of the twentieth century.
He noted that the Nobel Foundation in art, digital, photo-documentary exhibition on the activities of the Nobels in Baku about 132 years ago is a significant event.
Abdullayev noted that the exhibition was successfully presented in many countries around the world for two years successfully.
It was noted that the first exhibition organized in 2009 was devoted to 130th anniversary of Branobel Joint Stock Company and 15th anniversary of “Contract of the Century”. Then “Nobels and Baku oil” project was presented by the Azerbaijani delegation.
President of the Society "Family Nobel" Thomas Tiden, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Sweden Rafael Gurbanov attended the meeting in Stockholm.
Abdullayev is expected to meet also with the director of the Nobel Museum in Stockholm Olav Amelin.
