Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry and Al Asbar Auto Industries of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a protocol of intention.
According to APA, the protocol was signed during the IDEX 2011 International Defense Exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
According to the protocol, an example of the Al Asbar-produced vehicles will be brought to Azerbaijan and tested under the local conditions.
Defense Industry Minister Yaver Jamalov said tests will be conducted in the presence of the Arab company’s officials. If there is a positive result, they will begin joint production of an armed version of those vehicles in Baku.
