A new automobile plant NAZ Lifan has been launched in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

Musa Abdullayev, Director of Lifan Nakhchivan Automobile Plant, said the plant has started to receive orders for cars.

In his words, 5 to 7 cars will off the assemble line a day at the initial phase.

“108 cars will be assembled at the initial phase and 216 cars in the second phase. Cars will be sold on the local market. Prices will be reasonable, ranging from AZN 8 000 to AZN 14 000. These cars include Lifan-320, Lifan-520 (sedan and hatchback) and Lifan-620 (sedan). Parts are supplied from China,” he added.

A partnership agreement was signed with Chinese Lifan Corporation on the sidelines of China-Azerbaijan Business Forum in Beijing to establish the assembly of cars in Nakhchivan.
