The Russian government has supported Azerbaijan's initiative on construction of a bridge over the Samur river, according to Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mamedov, Novosti-Azerbaijan reports.
"The Russian side voiced its position due to the construction of the motor bridge. The Azerbaijani side is also ready for construction of a bridge that will be laid over the Samur river on the Azerbaijani-Russian border", said the Minister.
He said despite the global financial-economic crisis, implementation of transport projects in Azerbaijan will be held in the set terms. The Minister noted that the construction of a circle highway around Baku will end in late November of this year.
