Azerbaijan and Netherlands will apply system of double taxing evasion regarding incomes and property, says the press release of Azerbaijan Taxes Ministry, according to Interfax-Azerbaijan.

The message states that Taxes Minister of Azerbaijan Fazil Mamedov and state secretary of Dutch Finance Ministry Yaan Kees de Yager signed an intergovernmental agreement "On evasion of double taxation on incomes and property and prevention of tax evasion" in Baku Monday.

"Signing of this agreement is aimed at the further development of bilateral economic ties", says the press release.

During the visit to Baku de Yager familiarized with the activity of the department of special regime tax service under the Taxes Ministry, as well as the system of registration of commercial enterprises by the single window principle.

As previously reported, Azerbaijan applies the principle of double taxing evasion with 23 countries. This system will also be applied with Tajikistan and Qatar from January 1 of 2009.

On the whole, Azerbaijan holds consultations on the application of the principle of double taxing evasion with 43-44 countries.
