As of July 1 of 2008, the banking savings of the Azerbaijani population made AZN 1,603,000,000.
Day.Az reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee that this is 62.8% rise, as compared to the same period of 2007.
Of the whole volume of banking savings, the Azerbaijani population keeps AZN 782,400,000 (48.9%) in national currency and AZN 820,900,000 (51.1%) in foreign currency.
65.6% of population's banking deposits falls on private banks.
