The 48th session of the Council of heads of CIS and Baltic railway departments held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The due announcement was made by Nadir Azmamedov, spokesman for Azerbaijan State Railroad.
He said Azerbaijan is being represented by a delegation, led by chief of the Azerbaijan State Railroad Arif Askerov.
"The session participants discuss execution of the decisions of the 47th session of the Council, results of operational activities in the railway system for 2007 and the first quarter of 2008, development of train timetable for 2008-2009, cargo and container carriages, measures, aimed at improvement of international transportations and others", said Azmamedov.
The spokesman noted that the discussion of date and place of the 49th session of the Council is also planned.
