Azerbaijan has joined the Eurasian economic club of scientists, founded in Astana (Karabakhstan).

Day.Az reports with reference to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economic Development that the initiative was proposed by Kazakhstan's Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning and Institute of Economic Researches operating under it.

The club aims at the joint preparation of scientific solutions of socioeconomic problems. A round table "Eurasian economic area: investment policy and practice" was held in the framework of the foundation assembly.

The arrangement was attended by scientists from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan (Namik Tagiyev, head of the Scientific Research Institute of Economic Reforms under the Economic Development Ministry), Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
