The office of the US trade representative will discuss preparation of appeal to US President about attaching a status of "the developing beneficiary country" to Azerbaijan.
The office representatives adopt will receive conclusions of the public structures on the said issue until May 30.
The status of a developing beneficiary country will help release some goods exported by Azerbaijan to the United States from taxes.
It should be noted that the status of a developing beneficiary country was attached to 144 countries by decision of the US President, which resulted in releasing 4,650 goods. In order to obtain it a country should have a high GDP, legislative basis for protection of intellectual property and investment experience.
It should be reminded that the office of the US trade representative, created in 1962, unites 200 experts on external trade. The structure holds meetings with state representatives and business-circles of many countries to inform the president about policy of external trade. The offices of the agency operate in Geneva and Brussels.
