In April Azerbaijan Microfinance Association will host an international conference, bringing together about 20 microfinance organizations, as well as government and bank representatives to discuss rating services.
AMFA Executive Director Jala Hajiyeva told APA-Economics that the conference will mostly focus on issues concerning transparency and assessment in financial sector. Moody's and Fitch representatives will also attend the event. Azerbaijan Micro-Finance Association (AMFA) was established in Azerbaijan on December 19, 2001 with the purpose of strengthening the capacity of micro-finance institutions to support sustainable and equitable economic growth in Azerbaijan. 19 non-bank and bank organizations are the member of the association.
