Government of Azerbaijan are making great progress in implementation of State Program for Social and Economic Development of Regions, World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan, Gregory Jedrzejczak, said at a conference dedicated to the third anniversary of the State Program.

"We are impressed by the Government's achievements in a short period. As the President said, the Soviet heritage is so deep that solution to the problems requires long time. The World Bank provides social, healthcare, educational, as well as financial assistance. Rural areas should get an access to the financial services," he said.

He added Azerbaijan should improve judicial system, protection of property rights, and should clean up environment to develop tourism, APA reports.
