46,181 small enterprises and establishments, as well as 890 industrial, 123 agricultural enterprises, 595 building companies, 3,701 trade, 1,053 public catering establishments, 10,034 personal services, 648 filling stations, 19,584 transport enterprises and vehicles, 180 utilities and 9,308 other establishments and equipment totally cost AZN155,9m have been privatized since privatization started in Azerbaijan.

3,063 small enterprises privatized last year totally cost AZN14,9m.
Small privatizations were recorded in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (60 enterprises and establishments), Baku (2228), Ganja (147), Mingachevir (90), Sumgayit (57), Ali Bayramli (31) cities, Shai (42, Ismayilli (35), Agdash (25), Absheron (23), Zagatala (21), Khachmaz (19), Guba (19)and Shamkir (17) regions. 22 state enterprises ownership capital of which is AZN 8.8m became stock companies. The process covered Nakhchivan (10), Baku (4), Ganja (3), Sumgayit (1), Ali Bayramli (1) cities and Khachmaz, Berde and Imishli regions. 1,569 state enterprises with AZN1,094m ownership capital, as well as 371 big enterprises became stock companies.

200 stock companies total shares of which cost AZN50,7m were put up to auction.
Privatization of 397 state enterprises made AZN5.4 profits.

State Statistical Committee states that 1677 small enterprises and establishments were privatized in 2003, 1,954 in 2004 and 2,463 in 2005. APA
