The payphones will also be placed in beaches and resting zones to be based on  WiMAX technology.

Unfortunately, Baku mayor's Office and ICT Ministry don't take the project seriously, company's official Yadigar Bayramov told the APA.

The new payphones can be used with 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50 kopecks and chip cards.  At present AzEuroTel uses public telephone devices made by Taiwan Tatung.
