The transmission capacity of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan will reach its maximum capacity by April 1, said SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.
BTC annual capacity is 50mln tons. Abdullayev said the 100th tanker carrying Azeri crude oil has lately sailed away from Ceyhan Port, APA reports. He added construction in Kulevi Port, a port in Georgia acquired by SOCAR, will be complete in the first quarter, 2007. The grant project of the millennium, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Oil Pipeline, is delivering Azeri oil to Ceyhan, a Turkish port, via Georgia and Turkey. The pipeline came on line on June 13, 2006.
