As of January 1, the assets of Kapital Bank rose 50.78% to AZN 148,879,000 last year.

Bank's head office told the APA that its credit portfolio grew 36.08% to AZN 60,759,000, liabilities jumped 58.92% to AZN 123,094,000. during the period of 2006 the bank’s deposit portfolio went up 52.57% to AZN 105,224,000, of which AZN 25,401,000 (+25.29%) are in term deposits, AZN 79,823,000 (+63.93%) are call deposits.

The aggregate capital of the Kapital Bank rose 15.88% to AZN 19,908,000, including nominal capital’s growing 9.1% to AZN 12m.

The Banks total incomes grew 25.31% to AZN 24,318,000, total expenditures rose 46.83% to AZN 21,206,000. It made a profit of AZN 2,504,000, up 5.65%.

In Azerbaijan there are two state-owned banks – the International Bank of Azerbaijan and Kapital Bank. The State holds a 50.2 stake in the authorized capital of the IBA, and 100% of the nominal capital of the Kapital Bank.
