A delegation of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) led by F. Maaruf visited Azerbaijan from January 15 to 22, public relations department of IDPs Social Development Fund said.
Delegation met with Ali Hasanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for IDPs. The visit aimed to implementation of the agreement signed in 2005 on development of infrasturcure for IDPs. The Islamic Development Bank loaned US $ 14,5 mln for 25 years. The funds will be spent for construction of the hospitals, schools, water supply systems for IDPs and refugees residing in Bilasuvar and Fizuli regions. The IDB representatives held relevant talks with IDPs Social Development Fund. The sides discussed the issues of selection of contractors, initial variant of the tender documents etc. The construction of the above-mentioned objects in both regions is scheduled to end July-August 2007.
