The oil being transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) main export pipeline may be taken to the eastern part of the United States as well as India across the Suez Canal, BP Azerbaijan President David Woodward told a news conference on Friday.
The volume of oil, being exported via BTC to Italy and then to other European countries, will be increased in the near future, Assa-Irada reports. The annual throughout capacity of the 1,768km-long BTC pipeline, which stretches from the Azeri Sangachal terminal to the Turkish Mediterranean port of Ceyhan through Georgia, is 50 million tons. /baku.ru/
