14 June 2006 [09:01] - Today.Az
State Committee of Azerbaijan for Land and Cartography (SCLC) rejects the sayings that citizens are not compensated for their strip lands along Baku-Ceyhan Main Export Pipeline (BTC). Garib Mammadov, the Head of the Committee, has told reporters about.

According to APA, Mr. Mammadov says that BTC Pipeline concerns about 5 thousand people in 13 regions of Azerbaijan (420 kilometers area).

"This is a serious matter of a state importance. What kind of falsification is possible in the matter that is under control of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of National Security? It is a trick of the people who bear special interests."

Mr. Mammadov made the misunderstanding clear.

"Pipeline guard line was determined 500 meters first. Then it was made 100 meters and 58 meters at last. People who have dissatisfaction are those who have land areas in 500 and 100 meters."
