A large delegation led by the Economy Minister of Poland, head of the Azerbaijan-Poland Intergovernmental Economic Commission, Piotr Wozniak will arrive in Baku tomorrow at the invitation of the Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development Heydar Babayev.

The objective of the visit is to promote the development of economical relations, exchange views on issues of mutual interest, increase trade turnover, consider opportunities of expanding and deepening cooperation in energy, energy security, as well as in oil and gas fields.

counsellor of Polish Embassy to Azerbaijan Voychek Guretski told APA that the 10-member delegation is composed of the Economy Ministry's several officials as well as owners of big oil and gas companies of Poland.

During the visit till 7 April, the Polish delegation will have talks with Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Arthur Rasizade, his deputy Abid Sharifov, speaker of parliament Ogtay Asadov, deputy Foreign Minister Mamhmud Mammadguliyev, Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev, Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev and president of the State Oil Company Rovnag Abdullayev. The delegation is also expected to be received by Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.

Though the first meeting of the Azerbaijan-Poland Intergovernmental Economic Commission is planned, it will not be held as Azerbaijani chief of the Commission has not yet been appointed. Mr.Guretski hopes during the delegation's stay in Baku, Azerbaijani chief will be appointed and decision on holding the first meeting will be adopted.

The counsellor also said that Polish side will suggest holding this meeting in Warsaw. The diplomat noted that no documents are expected to be signed during the visit.
